AVG Mission Statement

“The Flying Tigers Association (FTA), is composed of honorably discharged members of the American Volunteer Group (AVG) Flying Tigers and their families, the families of AVG who died during AVG service and Friends of the AVG who have a desire to support the AVG and keep the AVG legacy alive.

Our mission is to preserve, respect, inform, educate and keep alive the accurate history of the AVG. This group supports institutions that have these same goals.

To accomplish these goals, the FTA will educate the public on the history and impact of the AVG by various means, i.e. media, website, scholarships & other resources.”

We are in the process of applying for a new nonprofit status, 501©3. Once approved we
will revise our Mission Statement to reflect this new status and related activities.
